This launch session explains what a Geneva Learning Foundation Ambassador is, why the role matters, and how you can take part. The Geneva Learning Foundation is a non profit organization that connects practitioners who work for their communities, in health, humanitarian action, education, and other fields, so they can learn from each other and solve practical problems in the last mile. ## What this session covers - How 600 alumni who gathered during the early months of COVID 19 grew into a network of more than 6 000 practitioners in over 80 countries. - How this network gave rise to the first Ambassadors in Bangladesh, Mali, Nigeria, Uganda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. - How local leaders use collective intelligence to keep essential services going, respond to new challenges, and protect communities when systems are under pressure. ## What is a Geneva Learning Foundation Ambassador? - A recognised leader who represents practitioners in their country or locality. - Someone who brings relevant learning opportunities to colleagues and helps them to enrol. - A connector who builds local networks so that no one feels alone in their daily work. - A practitioner whose experience helps to inform national and global agendas. Ambassadors also gain early access to verification scholarships and to facilitation roles in new programmes of the Foundation. ## About the Ambassadors Activation The session introduces the Ambassadors Activation, a four week learning to action programme that helps you: - Clarify your motivation and your role as an Ambassador. - Tell your professional story with confidence. - Design a realistic monthly action that fits your workload. - Use the Foundation’s implementation model to move from ideas to measurable results.
