It is an accessible entry point if you have never heard of the Foundation, its Scholar programmes, or its Ambassadors. Participants include practitioners in public health, immunization, community services, education, and related fields who joined the Foundation’s peer learning programmes as early as 2016. They describe how online courses, virtual peer groups, and structured feedback helped them to respond to crises, improve services, and feel less isolated in difficult contexts. ## What you will hear - How practitioners from Rwanda, Nigeria, Ghana, South Sudan, Uganda, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and other countries first joined the Foundation’s programmes. - How tools such as one day surveys, peer review, and implementation exercises changed the way they plan, monitor, and improve their work. - How they used the network to solve concrete problems, from vaccine dropout and cold chain failures to disruption of services in conflict affected areas. Several speakers explain that they now feel part of a global community rather than working alone. Some describe how their participation opened new professional opportunities, or how they continued to contribute after moving to new roles or after retirement. ## Why this pre show matters The pre show gives a human face to the global network described in the two articles above. It shows how practitioners who are present every day in the last mile of systems can share experience, support each other, and influence change. It also prepares the ground for the Ambassadors Activation by illustrating the type of leadership, trust, and peer learning that the Ambassador role is designed to strengthen.
