(EN-14) COVID-19 Peer Hub: Fostering intra-country and inter-country collaboration
Discover a transformative learning approach to foster intra-country and inter-country collaboration (with the Center for Change and Complexity in Learning). COVID-19 Peer Hub participants will also share how they have kept vaccination going and are preparing for COVID-19 vaccine introduction. This session occurred during the Teach to Reach Accelerator Conference: The world’s largest gathering of community-based immunization professionals from 120 countries preparing to introduce COVID-19 vaccine. More than 7,000 national and sub-national immunization staff registered to participate. Bringing together country-based immunization staff, national EPI managers, and global experts from over 40 partners, including the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Vaccine Alliance (Gavi), this community-based, co-designed and purely digital event explored how immunization staff will deliver new vaccines to target groups at speed. Kate O’Brien, WHO’s director of immunization, Violaine Mitchell, Director of Health Funds and Partnerships at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and Anuradha Gupta, Gavi’s Deputy CEO, are amongst the global immunization leaders who contributed.
